Worst DVD

BERT: DVDs: what better way to immortalise a forgettable series or clumsy stand-up performance? Well, presumably they're hard at work thinking up a better way, as TV series now come out on DVD the week after they're finished to capitalise on the lucrative "didn't we just see that?" market, while the only people who buy stand-up DVDs are people who've already seen the show and mistakenly think they might want to watch it again one day.

Even the creators of Beached Az saw the irony in releasing a DVD of a show that started out as an internet clip and is even now currently completely available to watch/download on the 'net. Didn't stop them from trying to wring a few more bucks out of their cashed-up fans, mind you. Nice work guys, another glowing write-up in a marketing magazine is just around the corner!

Why was Offspring actually called "Offspring"? Yes, it was about kids who had parents so it's technically correct but the lead character didn't have offspring, neither did her bitchy sister, and the BFF who did - with the lead's dad no less - wasn't exactly the focus of the show. Couldn't they get the rights to any other skate-punk band names? Would calling the show Blink 182 have confused Australian audiences?
